Shri Anupam Misra holds a B.Tech (Hons.) in Civil Engineering from IIT Kharagpur and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) for Working Executives from IIM Lucknow. He has also completed the General Management for Shipping (MDP) from IIM Ahmedabad and a one-year International Business Program from IIM Kolkata.

He is a general management professional with  33 + years of experience in the areas of marketing and international trading, with extensive hands-on exposure to industrial raw materials (minerals, metals, chemicals, etc.), agro-commodities, engineering goods, and project business in a multi-commodity, multi-market B2B environment. Developing new business solutions and structuring complex transactions in a B2B setup, from concept to delivery, has been his forte.

He joined FACT on 14 July 2020 as Director (Marketing). Since then, he has been continuously improving the distribution network and expanding the market area and product basket, including imported fertilisers. He also held the additional charge of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of FACT from 5 January 2026 to 2 February 2026.

Prior to joining FACT, he served as Director (Marketing) at PEC Ltd., a PSU under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, for four years. Earlier, he worked as General Manager (Marketing) at STC of India Ltd., New Delhi, where he gained extensive experience in international trading and marketing operations.
